The Tariff Clause Adjustment (TCA) will be reduced by MOP3 cents per kWh in the second quarter to MOP30 cents per kWh, local sole power distributor CEM – Companhia de Electricidade de Macau announced yesterday. The electricity supplier said the reduction is attributed to the decrease in Renminbi exchange rate and local power generation – ‘in which the increase of natural gas power generation reflects the importance of local power generation and the advantage of selecting the best energy mix,’ it wrote. According to CEM, the adjustment will be applied to the company’s Tariff Group A, B and C customers.
