CEM to build new substation

Macau’s electricity supplier, CEM, has been given the green light by the government to build a new power distribution substation occupying an area of 782 square metres near Avenida do Comendado Ho Yin on the Macau Peninsula. According to the Official Gazette published yesterday, the new substation is expected to ensure the stability of the electricity supply in the northern part of the city, as well as fulfilling the increasing electricity demands of the district. CEM will pay an annual rent of 14,076 patacas (US$1,760), which will be adjusted every five years.
