DSSOPT accused of profligate spending

The Land, Public Works and Transport Bureau (DSSOPT) of the MSAR has been slammed by the Commission of Audit (CA) for its lack of success in reducing costs originating from rental and renovation works on private buildings housing government services. The criticism was aired in the CA’s report on the planning and construction of buildings for public services installations published yesterday. The rental of private buildings by the government reached MOP4 billion (US$500 million) during the decade spanning 2004 to 2014.
