One of the hottest new women’s fragrances of the month, you must have seen the TV commercial starring Jennifer Lawrence. This fragrance has created a sensation because Dior has not released a new fragrance for twenty years. The name of the fragrance – Joy – is a straightforward, humble little word that has nevertheless always made its presence felt.

Joy by Dior is illuminated by the vibrant smiles of Rose, Jasmine, Bergamot and Mandarin; and smoothly caressed by the woods and serenity of musk.The simple jewel-like bottle in crystal and soft pink is strikingly feminine, luxurious, and pleasing to the eye.

Jimmy Choo Fever

No woman can reject a pair of beautiful heels designed by talented Malaysian designer Jimmy Choo. Now this temptation brand wants to light up your five senses with their new fragrance – Jimmy Choo Fever.

The intense deep plum lacquer bottle topped with a square cap is edged in metallic gold, a resplendent hint of luxury and decadence. The fragrance radiates from its centre as the light dances on its multi-faceted form. The designer also reveals the brand’s signature snakeskin pattern on the outer packaging which showcases a true to life texture.

The fragrance opens with the rich yet vivid juicy sweetness of plum, blended with the fresh rosy accents of lychee and countered with the subtle bitter tones of grapefruit. At its heart, the powdered roundness of heliotrope mingles with an exotic vanilla orchid, contrasted with ultra-feminine jasmine. It then evolves with base notes of creamy sandalwood, the balsamic warmth of benzoin and the roasted almond facets of Tonka bean, giving the fragrance its carnal velvet sensuality.

 

Lanvin Éclat de Nuit

Another pink lady, Éclat de Nuit comes from French high fashion house Lanvin. Compared to the former lady, Éclat de Nuit is more like a girl with a wandering soul. Just like a carefree girl, a luminescent pink charm exudes from the round, curvaceous bottle. The emblematic Plexiglas box seems to be lit from the inside, an effect created by the bottle’s intense pink colour.

The fragrance comprises Oriental fruity flora starting from its middle notes via a jasmine-orange blossom with blackcurrant enhancing the red apple. Finally, a praline note combined with vanilla and sandalwood.

 

 

Y by YSL

YSL Y is a modern fragrance for a modern man. Y stands for many different meanings – Yves Saint Laurent, youth, and Y is the strongest generation nowadays. This collection comprises a Y Eau De Toilette, which has a touch of green, is a touch woody and topped with a soft balsamic sweetness as well as a Y Eau De Parfum, a deep, fresh and masculine fragrance.

The bottle is sharp and minimalist in its construction but the geometric ‘y’ notch on the side is a unique creative signature.The designer also wants to represent a new masculinity. Sliced through with a metal ‘y’, the glass is cut with such precision to reflect the strength and elegance of the fragrance within.

Coach Platinum

Another new men’s fragrance – from the US – Coach Platinum reveals the confident and magnetic energy of the Coah guy. Inspired by the great American road trip, the scent is dynamic and warm. Starting with fresh notes of black pepper oil, pineapple and juniper berries.

The heart reveals a distinctive blend of masculine, floral notes – clary sage and geranium, richly contrasted with the refined woods of cashmere, patchouli and sandalwood plus an addictive leathery vanilla accord.

The fragrance is wrapped in a bottle representing the cool, magnetic personality of the Coah guy. The mirrored metal and the bright silver bottle is topped with the turnlock-shaped spray cap and coach’s iconic horse and carriage embossed on a smooth glass surface.
