Film Festival | Hunting Season wins the Best Film Award at IFFAM

Macau (MNA) – Hunting Season wins the Best Film Award at the second edition of the International Film Festival and Awards • Macao (IFFAM).

The Awards for the other categories were attributed as follows:

Best Film – Hunting Season
Jury Prize – Wrath of Silence
International Star of the Year – Donnie Yen
Best Director – Xavier Legrand for Custody
Career Achievement Award – Udo Kier
Best Actor Award – Best Actor – Song Yang for Wrath of Silence
Best Actress Award – Best Actress – Jessie Buckley for Beast
Asian Blockbuster Film 2017 – Wolf Worrier II
NETPAC Award (Best Asian film of the programme) – Vivian Chu for Angels Wear White
Best Technical Contribution – Benjamin Kracun, director of photography of Beast
Best Screenplay –  Samuel Maoz for Foxtrot
Best New Young Actor – Thomas Gioria for Custody
Macao Audience Choice Award – Borg McEnroe

Among the guests that have walked the Red Carpet before the Awards Ceremony featured the Director of the Macau Government Tourism Office, Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Alvin Chau, CEO from local junket group Suncity, and main sponsor of the second edition of the Festival.

The five-member jury who selected the winning picture and other best performances of the night was composed by acclaimed French director Laurent Cantet, director, writer and producer Jessica Hausner, actress and director Joanne Chen, novel writer Lawrence Osborne, and Singaporean director, Royston Tan.

The Award Ceremony was held at the Macao Cultural Centre.
