The government has decided to transfer 636 million patacas from the Special Administrative Regions budget to the Tourism Fund that is under the scope of the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO), it was announced in the Official Gazette. The Tourism Fund is applied in order to promote Macau as a quality destination for tourists. In order to boost the number of tourists visiting Macau, MGTO has set up 18 public relations representatives in countries such as mainland China, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, United States, Australia, United Kingdom, France and Portugal.
