VIP junket operator Ng Man Sun is offering a HK$10 million (US$1.3 million) reward to anyone with information that leads to the arrest of the people behind last month’s attack on him. Mr Ng made the announcement through an advertisement published yesterday in Chinese-language newspaper Macau Daily News. “Anyone who can provide intelligence to the Judiciary Police that leads to the arrest and sentencing of the mastermind behind the case could receive the HK$10 million reward, including the six attackers who assaulted me,” the advertisement says. Six unidentified people violently attacked Mr Ng, better known as Ng Wai or “Street Market Wai”, last month in a restaurant inside the New Century hotel-casino (photo). Mr Ng was beaten with hammers and sticks. He is still in hospital. The police are investigating the case and say they didn’t know beforehand about the reward offer. Mr Ng is involved in a messy row with his former lover Chen Meihuan over the ownership of New Century hotel. The dispute led to New Century hotel being temporarily closed to guests earlier this month.
