Macau | 65 protocols signed during first day of International Fair

Macau (MNA) – A total of 65 protocol agreements have been inked within the first day of the 23rd Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF) and Portuguese-speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition (Macao) – 2018 PLPEX.

In 2017, the total number of agreements signed during the traditional three days of the fair amounted to 67.

Both years already mark an increase from 2016 when a total of 50 protocols have been signed during the fair.

On Thursday, letters of intent, co-operation agreements and projects have been signed between companies from Macau, Mainland China and Portuguese-speaking countries in a range of areas which include food and beverage, environmental technology, trade development, pharmacy, and staff training, to name only a few.

Companies and associations harnessing the Portuguese-speaking card include the Sino-Portuguese E-Commerce Chamber, and the the Association of Young Entrepreneurs Portugal-China (AJPEC), as well as the Natural Aroma and Spices of China and Portuguese Speaking Countries Exchange Centre.

Co-operation agreements worth of note include the China (Yongcheng) Portuguese-Speaking Countries Cross-Border E-Commerce Cooperation Platform Strategic Agreement and a proposal for Co-operation in Cinema and Television Culture, and Ecological Health Projects between China and Portuguese-Language Countries

In particular, eight Portuguese companies are participating in the 2018 PLPEX being held for the second time concurrently with MIF from October 18 and 20 October at The Venetian Macao, namely, Electrocig; Estúdio Didáctico; GalaxiEncantada; Mindalizer Consulting; Mobiz; PSA Trade; Puris; and the Sópneus brand.
