Macau (MNA) – The Public Security Police Force (CPSP) indicated today that around 27 infringements committed by taxi drivers were registered between 6:00 pm of Saturday and 8:00 am of this Sunday.
Police authorities stated that actions were taken during the typhoon to combat infringements committed by taxi drivers and illegal taxis.
According to authorities fifteen cases of excessive fare collection, six cases of refusal of transport, two cases of illicit operation of the taxi service and four cases related to other offenses were registered in the time period mentioned.
Typhoon Signal No. 9 was hoisted at 09:00 am of this Sunday with super Typhoon Mangkhut currently at about 210 kilometers southeast of Macau, with the current signal to be replaced by Typhoon Signal No. 10 between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm today.
