Macau (MNA) – Macau SAR Chief Executive, Chui Sai On has asked citizens to learn the Constitution and the Basic Law, and to defend its authority, on the eve of the anniversary of the Constitution, to be celebrated on December 4.
Mr. Chui supported the central government’s initiatives of “One Belt, One Road” and the Greater Bay Area, stating the will to ‘implement the new concepts and new governance ideologies of the Country in this new era,’ while enhancing Macau’s ‘advantages, in search of a new level of development of the principle “One country, two systems”.’
In his address, Mr. Chui mentioned the words of the President of China, Xi Jinping, regarding the “One country, two systems” situation in Macau. He stated that ‘the full and accurate implementation of the guiding principle “One country, two systems” is fundamental for watching over the defense of “a country” and deeply knowing the spirit of the “two systems”.’
