Macau | Fewer tourists during Easter holiday

Macau (MNA) – A total of 402,846 visitors reached the Macau SAR during the Easter holiday period, marking a decrease of 4.72 per cent from the same period a year earlier.

According to data released by the Public Security Police Force (PSP) on Tuesday, some 1.05 million inbound and outbound movements were registered in all the MSAR checkpoints during the four days of the holiday from March 30 to April 2.

The Border Gate, north of the Macau Peninsula, was the busiest checkpoint with a total of 753,461 entries and 778,738 exists recorded during the period. The second most important checkpoint was he Outer Harbour.

The Easter holiday period in 2017 lasted from April 14 to April 17.
