Macau | Updated: Flights cancelled due to Typhoon Mangkhut

Macau (MNA) – More than 150 flights travelling to and from Macau have been cancelled due to Typhoon Mangkhut, according to the Macau International Airport (MIA) website, as well as several Air Asia flights.

Air Asia has announced that it will cancel all flights scheduled to depart from Macau, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shantou between 2:00 am and 11:59 pm on September 16.

Air Asia passengers can obtain a refund for flights cancelled due to Typhoon Mangkhut on the airline website.

The affected flights according to Macau International Airport are flying to various destinations such as Shanghai, Taipei, Manila and Johor Bahru.

Passengers flying out and travelling to Macau are advised to check their flight details online.

Typhoon Mangkhut is set to reach Macau on Sunday morning, during which a Typhoon Signal no. 8 is likely to be raised, according to the Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG).
