Macau | Corrected: Forbes Travel Guide 2019 Star Awards crowns Macau as city with most five-star spas and restaurants

Macau (MNA) – The result of the 2019 Star Awards by the Forbes Travel Guide reveal that Macau is the city with the most number of five-star spas, with a total of nine spas being considered top-class by Forbes.

Macau also had the largest number of five-star restaurants, with 17 restaurants given the ranking.

The city, however, lost the position of the city with the largest number of five-star hotels, beaten by London, which had 13 compared with Macau’s 12 hotels with the ranking.

According to overall rankings, Forbes classified only 20 per cent of all rated properties with five stars.

Several properties in Macau had also attained triple five-star rankings, meaning that hotels, spas and restaurant properties of the group had all been awarded the highest ranking.

Banyan Tree Macau, Mandarin Oriental Macau and Star Tower at Studio City earned five-star awards for their hotels, restaurant and spa, which made these properties triple five-star winners.

Altira Macau had also received a total of four five-star awards for the hotel, spa and two restaurants.

Nüwa Macau had won a total of five five-star awards for the hotel, spa and three restaurants.

Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace had also received total of 14 five-star awards for the hotels, spas and eight restaurants.
