Macau | Gaming machine agent APE announces 63.9 pct surge in revenue

Macau (MNA) – Asia Pioneer Entertainment Holdings Limited has announced a 63.9 per cent surge in revenue year-on-year for the year ended December 31, 2017, driven by robust slot machine sales, the company stated in a press release late Tuesday.

Revenue of the company during the period under review amounted to HK$86.06 million from HK$52.57 million a year before.

The gaming machine agent also posted a 34.5 per cent increase in profits after tax, to HK$18.7 million from some HK$13.9 million when compared to 2016.

In particular, APE noted that revenue generated from technical sales and the distribution segment had surged 74 per cent year-on-year.

APE added that the company and its subsidiaries concluded sales of 319 refurbished slots, which it said ‘formed a new business segment for the Group.’

It also stated that it expects to open an 18,000 square foot integrated office and warehouse in the second quarter of 2018.

The company – established in the Macau SAR in 2006 – focuses on providing customised and integrated solutions for the electronic gaming equipment industry.

APE signalled that it has been dedicating its business to introducing innovative gaming products to casino operators in the city and various Asian countries.

‘Looking ahead, management believes that the Group’s prospects will continue to ride on the rebound of Macau’s GGR as well as the growth of mass-market gaming,’ the note reads.
