Macau (MNA) – The Macau SAR Government announced on Wednesday the opening of a public tender for formulating the new Central Library project, according to a dispatch in the Official Gazette signed by the President of the Macau Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), Mok Ian Ian.
Meeting the schedule previously announced by public authorities, as first reported by Macau News Agency (MNA) in December, today’s dispatch discloses that the deadline for the submission of proposals to develop the site targeted for hosting the new library facilities – the Old Courthouse Building, near Nam Van Lake – is set for July 9 of this year.
Submitted bids will be evaluated in accordance with four criteria with different levels of consideration, namely, 40 per cent for the concept of the preliminary design, 30 per cent for the price offer, 25 per cent for the company’s structure and experience, and 5 per cent for the project plan.
The time for the service provision is capped at 320 days.
Candidates are required to provide a MOP600,000 security deposit upon entering the bid.
The dispatch further noted that interested companies must attend a site inspection and a briefing session on March 15 in order to become eligible for the tender.
