Macau Grand Prix organisers expect record takings

The coordinator of the Macau Grand Prix Committee, João Manuel Costa Antunes, has forecast that this year’s event will bring in more revenue than ever before. “We expect 5 to 6 per cent growth,” Mr Costa Antunes told reporters. Last year’s revenue was a record-breaking MOP51 million (about US$6.38 million). The budget for the grand prix will be about MOP200 million this year, roughly the same as last year. The event will take place from November 19 to 22 and comprise seven races.
