Macau (MNA) – Simpler licensing procedures for restaurants located within hotel premises “hopefully” to be implemented by 2018, said the director of the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes after attending the meeting with the Follow-up Committee of Public Administration Affairs of the Legislative Assembly on Thursday.
She said that the Office is studying ways of simplifying licensing procedures, including measures such as the implementation of a one-stop service or co-operation between departments.
The MGTO head also pointed out that it would be easier to implement simpler procedures for restaurant licence applications than for applications to hotel operation licence.
“It is more complicated [for hotel operation license] because of the plans [of the hotel properties],” said Ms. Senna Fernandes.
Ms. Senna Fernandes also said they are not ruling out the possibility of implementing a one-stop service licensing that is already being used by the Civic and Municipal Bureau (IACM).
