Macau (MNA) – The city’s Public Security Police Force (PSP) filed a total of 519 cases relating to taxi infractions, representing 102 cases less when compared to the cases filed in October.
Of the total number of filed cases, 307 cases or 59.2 per cent were related to overcharging, and 167 cases or 32.1 per cent consisted of refusals to carrying passengers.
There were also three cases filed by the PSP for not respecting a passengers’ pickup queue line, and 42 cases related to other infractions.
A total of 16 cases relating to illegal taxi operations were also filed, but none related to mobile taxi-hailing applications were found among the prosecuted cases.
