Macau | LRT jobs available at Youth Career Expo 2018

Macau (MNA) – The Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) inaugurated the Youth Career Expo 2018 this Saturday, an event taking place today and tomorrow and offering 4,000 job vacancies from around 70 companies, with information provided on possible employment at the future Macau Light Rail train (LRT) system.

The Macau government has for long announced that the Taipa section of the LRT will open in 2019, with operations provided by Hong Kong company MTR Corporation Ltd.

The job opportunities presented at the event held at The Venetian Cotai Expo vary from positions at in hotel, banking, catering, retail, education, cultural and recreational activities, to lotteries or private charitable institutions.

According to the DSAL, several seminars will also showcase techniques for interviewing and writing a curriculum vitae; opportunities in the Great Bay; employment information and internships; internship placements in Mainland China and talent policy for young entrepreneurs.

Some of these seminars will also provide information on how to embark on a criminal investigator’s career; and prospects of development in the demand/supply for workers of the LRT.

The event also offers information on professional training, career planning, Labor Relations Law, and workshops with simulation of interviews and registration for job applications.

This year’s edition is focused on the Greater Bay Area, with companies from the region invited to present information on jobs and business development in the metropolitan area.
