Macau | MacauPass and TurboJET co-operating on ferry trips to Hong Kong

Macau (MNA) – MacauPass has launched a collaboration with TurboJET to enable users travelling to Hong Kong more direct access to the boarding gates in the Outer Harbour and Taipa ferry terminals, the company announced on Friday.

The service – launched on Wednesday, April 25 – allows MacauPass users to obtain their tickets to either Hong Kong Island (Seung Wan) or the Peninsula (Kowloon), at the same cost, directly at the boarding gate, negating the need to line up at the ticket office.

A MacauPass device machine installed directly at the boarding gate counter will be available for users who want to acquire the tickets directly at the gate. Once the payment is accomplished, staff on the counter will issue the customer a small receipt that will grant the person access to the ferry boarding area.

Ticket purchase via the MacauPay App, in advance or on site, is also a payment modality enabling access to the boarding area through the generation of a QR code.

The company claimed further it is proposing discount offers for Macau SAR residents.
