Macau (MNA) – MGM Cotai, the latest property of MGM China, was officially inaugurated on Tuesday, after the opening was delayed several times.
Edmund Ho Hau Wah, incumbent Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and former Macau SAR Chief Executive (CE), Fernando Chui Sai On, the incumbent CE, and Yao Jian, Deputy Director of the Central People’s Government’s Liaison Office in Macau SAR were invited as guests for the opening ceremony.
Secretary for Economy and Finance, Lionel Leong Vai Tac and Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Alexis Tam Chon Weng were also present for the inauguration of the new MGM property.
MGM Cotai features a total of 1,390 rooms and suites, which will be fully operational by the first quarter of this year.
The casino will offer a total of 125 gaming mass market tables, with 100 tables being ready at the time of the property’s opening.
Pansy Ho Chiu King, the CEO and Executive Director of MGM China said during her speech that the company is prepared for the opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, while adding that they are equipped to integrate with the development of the Greater Bay Area.
