Macau | Number of visitors from Mainland China during first three days of CNY Holiday surges 18.2 pct y-o-y

Macau (MNA) – The number of visitors, in particular from Mainland China, coming to the city for the Chinese New Year holiday in the first three days (February 15 to February 17) has increased by 18.2 per cent year-on-year to 210,171, according to the latest data released by Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO).

The total number of visitors reached 314,841, up 9 per cent when compared to the same period last year.

On February 17, some 136,925 visitors entered the city, posting a growth of 11.1 per cent year-on-year.

Of the total, 98,291 were Chinese tourists, up 20.1 per cent year-on-year.

Of the various ports of entry in the city, the Border Gate recorded the highest number at 67,014 on the same day.
