Macau (MNA) – Some 40 quotas are open for taxis and rental vehicles travelling between Macau and Hong Kong on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (HZMB), according to a dispatch in the Official Gazette on Wednesday.
According to the announcement by the Transport Bureau (DSAT) the eligible companies are light transport companies that provide point-to-point passenger services between Macau and Hong Kong on an appointment basis, which can travel an unlimited number of times a day through the HZMB.
Applications are opened from today until September 28 at 5:00 pm.
The 40 quotas are divided into three groups.
The first consists of a group of 12 quotas  for cross-boundary passenger transport companies (taxis). The second group, also of 12 quotas, applies to Macau-registered companies that are licensed to operate a vehicle rental business, while the third group of 16 quotas will apply to vehicles owned by Macau companies which hold a travel agency licence.
