Macau (MNA) – The Public Police Security Force (PSP) confirmed to Macau News Agency (MNA) on the phone on Wednesday that the four suspects involved in the robbery of HK$3 million (US$382,980) from a Mainland woman in Macau have not yet been caught.
The four suspects are also from Mainland China, and are believed to have entered the city on November 6. The robbery took place that evening, followed by a manhunt on the Macau Peninsula.
The police claimed the suspects have been identified through surveillance cameras, dubbed ‘Eye in the Sky’ cameras.
The woman stated to the police that she had withdrawn money because she needed it for a ‘project.’ Two of the four men secured the money in a bag and fled the scene.
She also claimed she tried to seek assistance from the other two men, but they were unreachable, and she decided to call the police.
According to explanations from the authorities, the woman and the men were somehow associates, although their relationship has not yet been duly clarified, with the police considering the case a ‘breach of trust.’
