Macau (MNA) – Typhoon Signal No. 1 will be issue shortly in Macau due to the approach of Typhoon Yutu, the Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) has announced in its latest bulletin on Wednesday.
Yutu has has entered an area within 800 kilometres of Macau, with the weather bureau stating it is closely monitoring the storm.
According to the SMG, Yutu will slow down and turn to move northwards gradually, towards the northeastern part of the South China Sea.
Under the combined effect of northeast monsoon and the typhoon, winds in the city will be intensified today until Friday.
Residents are advised to verify the latest bulletins issued by the Bureau.
