Macau (MNA) – The Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) announced that Typhoon Signal No. 10 – hoisted at 11:00 am of this Sunday – will be reduced to Typhoon Signal No. 8 at 8:00 pm.
At 7:00 p.m., Typhoon Mangkhut was at about 110 km west of the territory, with wind speed between 63 -118 km/h or more.
Black Storm Surge remains in effect, with flood water level expected to start going down.
As of 6:30 pm some 1,186 people had been housed at the 16 emergency typhoon shelters set up in the city, with the shelter at Praia do Mandunco having to be closed to a cut in the energy supply.
