Macau (MNA) – The Macau Chief Executive, Fernando Chui Sai On, has appointed Au Ieong Kit and Chang Cheong as members of Macau’s the newly created National Security Committee.
Au has been appointed as the advisor of the Office of the Chief Executive and Mr. Chang as the advisor to the Office of the Secretary for Security.
The instruction will be effected by October 4, 2018.
The National Security Committee will legally assist with the formulation of the National Security Law enacted in 2009 to fulfil article 23 of the Basic Law of the Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR).
