Macau | Wynn Resorts Q4 2018 revenue 4 pct up y-on-y

Macau (MNA) – Wynn Resorts fourth quarter revenue was up 4 per cent year-on-year to US$1.69 billion (MOP13.6 billion), according to an earnings release on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) on Thursday.

Operating revenues from Wynn Palace going towards Wynn Resorts were US$84 million, offset by a decrease of US$30.3 million from Wynn Macau.

In all of 2018, operating revenues had increased 10.7 per cent year-on-year to US$6.72 billion.

For Wynn Palace, operating revenues increased US$727.3 million, partially offset by a decrease of US$42.4 million from Wynn Macau.

Operating revenues for Wynn Palace were 12.8 per cent up year-on-year to US$740.6 million.

Casino revenues from Wynn Palace were US$636.9 million, 12.3 per cent up year-on-year, with table games turnover in VIP operations remaining fairly flat.

Wins at VIP table games as a percentage of turnover was 3.25 per cent, above the expected range of 2.7 to 3 per cent and an increase from the 3.02 per cent experienced last quarter.

Table games also contributed to most of the revenues in the mass market operations, up 16.2 per cent year-on-year to US$307.4 million.

The percentage of wins from table games in mass market operations increased to 23.6 per cent, compared with the fourth quarter of 2017, when table games win percentage made up of 23.5 per cent.

Non-casino revenues from Wynn Palace were US$103.6 million for the fourth quarter of 2018, a 15.7 per cent year-on-year increase.

For Wynn Macau, operatint revenues were down 5.2 per cent year-on-year to US$553.4 million.

Casino revenues in Wynn Macau had decreased 5.9 per cent year-on-year to US$479 million.

Table games turnover in VIP operations for Wynn Macau was US$12.78 billion, an 18.2 per cent decrease year-on-year, with VIP table games win as a percentage of turnover was 2.86 per cent, within the expected range, although below the 2.89 per cent experienced in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Table drop from mass market operations remained flat at US$1.26 billion.

However, table game wins in mass market operations were 11.2 per cent up year-on-year to US$255.7 million.

Table games win percentage in mass market operations increased to 20.3 per cent, compared with the table games win percentage of 18.4 per cent  experienced for the fourth quarter of 2017.

Non-casino revenues from Wynn Macau were relatively flat at US$74.4 million for the fourth quarter.
