There were as many as 1.35 million mobile phone subscriptions in the last month of 2011, up from 1.32 million in November 2011.
Figures released by the Telecommunications Regulation Bureau show that the total comprises 73,850 2G postpaid subscribers, 78,400 2G prepaid users, 451,360 3G postpaid subscribers, and 749,600 3G prepaid users.
In addition to mobile phone subscribers, there were also 165,900 land-line users, of which 111,400 were residential and the others commercial.
Internet subscribers were also up by around 1,000 to 138,200.
