Adelson family puts another US$5m into Republican campaign

Sheldon Adelson’s family has provided as much as US$10 million (MOP80 million) to fund the campaign of Republican Newt Gingrich.
The latest donation, by Mr Adelson’s wife Miriam, was US$5 million.
Just a couple of weeks ago the casino magnate donated US$5 million to Mr Gingrich’s campaign to be the Republican presidential nominee.
According to CBS News, this also makes the Adelsons the largest donor to date in the 2012 presidential campaign.
