Macau International Airport Company Limited or CAM yesterday confirmed it would not renew the service contract with ADA – Administration of Airports Limited for providing management and operational services at Macau International Airport.
The contract will expire on September 11, 2011.
“The reform in the airport management structure is only a part of a wider reform” of the airport, the company said in a press release, without adding further details.
CAM also set its operational targets for 2011: to have 4.2 million passengers, handle 53,000 tonnes of cargo and 39,000 flight movements in 2011, which represent a growth of 3 percent, 2 percent and 5 percent respectively.
“New destinations, such as India and Australia routes are important expansion targets in 2011,” CAM stressed.
