Macau International Airport Company Limited or CAM is interested in acquiring ADA – Administration of Airports Limited, which provides management and operational services at the airport.
According to sources quoted by Rádio Macau, CAM is already in talks with ADA’s two shareholders: China National Aviation Corporation and Aeroportos de Portugal (ANA).
However, CAM has yet to put forward a formal proposal, the radio reported.
Last month, CAM confirmed it would not renew the service contract with ADA. The contract will expire on September 11, 2011.
“The reform in the airport management structure is only a part of a wider reform [of the airport]”, the company said at the time in a press release, without adding further details.
