The average daily wage of construction workers in Macau was MOP544 (US$68) in the third quarter of 2010, up by 7.3 percent quarter-to-quarter, according to official data.
The average daily wage of skilled and semi-skilled workers (MOP583) rose by 8.6 percent, and that of unskilled workers (MOP351) went up by 3.2 percent.
After discounting the effect of inflation, the wage index of construction workers for the third quarter of 2010 was 96.7 points in real terms, up by 3.8 percent over the previous quarter.
In the third quarter of 2010, the price index of construction materials for residential buildings fell by 2.3 percent quarter-to-quarter to 135.1 points.
