Electricity consumption down

The consumption of electricity decreased by 12.1 percent over the previous quarter to 736 million kWh in the first quarter of 2011.
The drop was due to the influence of seasonal factors, according to the Statistics and Census Service.
The business sector consumption decreased by 13.1 percent to 575 million kWh, with the gaming industry being responsible for almost half of this.
On account of higher prices of imports, the selling price of all types of fuels increased in the first three months of 2011.
