Electricity consumption goes up

Electricity consumption from July to September went up by 6.9 percent year-on-year (1,198 million kWh).
Consumption of electricity by households (269 million kWh) surged by 7.8 percent while consumption by the business sector (873 million kWh) increased by 6.6 percent.
In the gaming segment, electricity consumption (418 million kWh) rose by 10.3 percent.
The Statistics and Census Service indicated that the hot summer was to blame for the increase in electricity consumption.
For the first nine months of 2011, electricity consumption is up by 4.7 percent.
