More than 20 teams will compete in the 3rd Annual Macau Business Charity Golf Tournament later this month.
Teams of three players, from the gaming and entertainment industry to banking, automakers and animal care companies, are taking part.
This year’s major tournament sponsors are Melco Crown Entertainment and The Westin Resort. Other event supporters include, Galaxy Entertainment, Mercedes-Benz, MGM Grand Macau, Coca-Cola and Seapower Trading. Among the participating patrons are Wynn, SJM, Shuffle Master, IGT, Aristocrat, BNU, Silver Heritage, LVS, Dog One Life, Helping Hand, SK Support and Macau Business.

Prize money
Total tournament prize money is set at HK$200,000 and will be awarded to a charity of choice by the teams who complete the 18 hole round with the best net and gross scores.
Participating patrons also have prizes to look forward to, including Longest Drive, Nearest to the Pin, Best Performing Team, and Putting Champion.
By enlisting the same record number of 20 competing teams as last year’s event, organisers have met one of their prime objectives for this third year of the tournament – despite the global financial crisis and the restricted budgets.

Optimistic
Event promoters MBSK are nonetheless optimistic that, now that the economy has picked up and the numbers were up in the last quarter, more patrons will want to get involved in this Social Corporate Responsibility event and open up their wallets.
This is because there is a very special way both participating golfers and non-golfers alike can contribute, besides swinging their clubs: by doing their part at the Gala Dinner.

Charity Auction
Aside from the award ceremony, the evening’s climax is arguably the live auction of rare memorabilia from the worlds of music, movies and sport.
Ever fancied owning an electric guitar from ‘bad boys’ ACDC? Perhaps read an autographed version of US President Barack Obama’s best-seller? MBSK has both in stock.
Sports fans are definitely in for a pleasant surprise with items from the world’s top athletes up for grabs: Beckham, Nadal, Tiger, and Phelps just to name a few; or team-autographed jerseys from the All Blacks and the Wallabies – the eternal rivals.

Rock stars…
and Jacko

Major Tournament Sponsor, Melco Entertainment has also contributed with exclusive in house items to be auctioned: the “Live the life of a Rock Star” package alone, featuring celebrity status treatment at the Hard Rock Hotel, has a grand total retail value of over MOP107,000 and comes with a stretch limo pick up and delivery included.
To crown it all off, MBSK has arranged for the event’s live auction to feature a very special collector’s item for both fervent fans and dispassionate fans: a glove from non other than the ‘King of Pop’ himself, and one of the most commercially successful and influential entertainers of all time: that’s right, Michael Jackson.
Other than memorabilia, there are also a number of art pieces from Chinese award winning artist Vong Guo, and Virginie Guillaume Petit, depicting landscapes and human form exercises.
The Gala Dinner, to be held at The Westin Resort’s Pool Logia, will wrap up the evening in a feast of culinary delights with fine wines, spirits, and the odd premium cigar.
More details on the 3rd Annual Macau Business Charity Golf Tournament and Gala Diner will be announced on September 6th when MBSK hosts a press conference at The Westin.
