First female top judge sworn-in

Song Man Lei was sworn-in yesterday as the first female judge in the Court of Final Appeal.
An independent committee that nominates judges recommended Ms Song replace Chu Kin, who passed away in November.
Since 2000, Ms Song has been a deputy attorney general, and is now the first female to make final legal decisions.
The swearing-in ceremony was presided over by chief executive Fernando Chui Sai On.
