|
Posted: 1/31/2012 4:06:15 PM
Gross gaming revenues are expected to surpass MOP23 billion (US$2.9 billion) in the month of January alone, up by 25 percent compared to the same month in 2011.
According to Lusa News Agency, casino companies expect the number to be between MOP23 billion and MOP24 billion, mainly due to the Chinese New Year holidays.
Wells Fargo analysts foresee a total gross gaming revenue for January of MOP23.4 billion.
Cameron McKnight, an analyst at Wells Fargo, adds that February revenues may fall as much as 14 percent year-over-year due to the timing of Chinese New Year.
