Macau hotels and guest-houses received 714,000 guests in October, up by 13.3 percent year-on-year.
The majority came from the mainland (56.9 percent of total) and Hong Kong (16.3 percent), according to the Statistics and Census Service.
The average occupancy rate of hotels and guest-houses was 81.5 percent, up by 3.0 percentage points year-on-year.
The number of guests in the first 10 months of 2011 increased by 10.1 percent year-on-year, to 7.01 million.
At the end of October, the number of available guest rooms of hotels and guest-houses in Macau totalled 22,330, with that of five-star hotels accounting for 63.7 percent of the total.
