Less job seekers in Q4 2011

Around 1,900 people signed up with the Labor Affairs Bureau looking for a job in the last three months of 2011. That’s 753 job seekers less than in the previous quarter, down 28 percent.
The numbers released yesterday show that almost half (49 percent) were looking for a job after having been fired or their contracts were not renewed. And 33 percent claimed to be looking for a “different work environment.”
