At the end of June, Macau’s wholesale and retail trade had 3,436 job vacancies, up by 11.8 percent year-on-year, according to the Statistic and Census Service.
Of those, 2,290 vacancies were in the retail trade.
By the end of the second quarter, the wholesale and retail trade sector had 31,800 paid employees, an increase of 10.2 percent in comparison with a year ago, with 20,000 working in retail trade.
In June, the average earnings of full-time employees in this sector rose by 7.8 percent year-on-year to MOP9,920 (US$1,240), with sales representatives and salespersons earning on average MOP11,940 and MOP9,000 respectively.
