A team from real estate firm JML Property and three friends used the recent Macau International Marathon to raise funds for the Cradle of Hope Association, which takes care of orphaned and abandoned children in Macau.
The group raised a total of MOP108,810 (US$13,600).
“Our original target was to raise general awareness for the association and MOP50,000 in cash,” said Juliet Risdon, director of JML Property.
“However, we were absolutely overwhelmed by the support that we received, not only from the local community but from friends outside Macau,” she added.
