Steve Wynn, chairman of Wynn Resorts Ltd., says he is confident that the legal action brought against his company by Kazuo Okada, its biggest shareholder, will be “easily dismissed.”
Quoted by Las Vegas Review Journal, Mr Wynn expects the court case to be dismissed.
The initial hearing is scheduled on February 9.
Mr Okada last month filed a lawsuit against Wynn Resorts seeking access to the company’s financial records.
The company says the action is an attempt by Mr Okada to deflect attention from a dispute between him and the company related to Mr Okada’s wanting to pursue a project in the Philippines, which broke ground in Manila last week.
