Macau’s unemployment rate for September-November was 2.3 percent, down by 0.1 percentage points over the previous period (August-October 2011) and the lowest ever since at least 1992, when the Statistics and Census Service’s online data starts.
The previous all-time low was set in the previous period, August-October, when Macau’s unemployment rate stood at 2.4 percent.
The number of unemployed in September-November decreased by about 300 from the previous period to 8,100, with 15.3 percent being fresh labour force entrants searching for their first job.
The total labour force stood at 345,000.
