Sands settles dispute with lawyers over Singapore convention

Marina Bay Sands settled lawsuits over unpaid bills and compensation for the Inter-Pacific Bar Association conference, the first to take place in the resort, last May. Marina Bay Sands regretted “the unfortunate incidents that affected the conference held at its facilities.” IPBA will receive a discount on its bill, according to two people familiar with the settlement earlier, quoted by Bloomberg. IPBA organizers had withheld the payment for the event, asking for compensation due to the fact that the power failed and delegates complained of unfinished rooms.
