VIP junket posts record rolling chip turnover for July

VIP room promoter Asia Entertainment & Resources Ltd. (AERL) announced a record unaudited rolling chip turnover for July of US$2.21 billion (MOP17.68 billion), up 154 percent year-over-year. This compares with a year-over-year increase in gross gaming revenue for Macau of 48 percent for July. For the first seven months of 2011, AERL’s rolling chip turnover was US$10.618 billion. The company’s VIP rooms, located at StarWorld, Venetian Macao and Galaxy Macau, are primarily focused on high stakes baccarat.
