10 terrorists arrested in southern Afghanistan in recent days

Afghanistan’s intelligence personnel arrested 10 terrorists in recent days in the Asian country’s southern province of Kandahar, Governor of the province Rohullah Khanzada said on Saturday.

“They had been arrested from different parts of provincial capital Kandahar city, and other districts of Kandahar in recent days. They have been involved in a string of terrorist activities, including targeted killings and launching bomb attacks as well as planting landmines,” he told Xinhua.

National Directorate of Security (NDS) personnel said the arrestees have confessed that they had pledged allegiance to terrorist groups.
