The 2021 Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair (2021GMBPF) will be held at The Venetian Macao from July 30 to August 1, with local companies to continue receiving a discounted participation fee.
‘To facilitate economic recovery in the post-pandemic era and help local companies explore business opportunities, the 2021GMBPF retains the anti-epidemic discount for SMEs with the participation fee maintained at MOP680,’ the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), one of the joint organisers, informed.
Held in cooperation with the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province since 2009, with target exhibitors companies engaged in Made-in-Macao products, Macao brands and Macao designs, and agents of overseas brands, especially products from Portuguese-speaking countries.
Products in exhibition usually include food and beverage, smart life products, daily commodities, gadgets, cultural and creative products, and products of time-honoured brands.
Companies interested in joining the event may register from April 15 to 28.
Macau’s MICE sector was greatly impacted in 202 due to the pandemic, with the number of MICE events held falling by around 76 per cent year-on-year to only 362, whilst the number of participants and attendees also showed a year-on-year drop of 54.6 per cent to 914,000, according to the official data.
