48-hour Covid-19 test required to cross border from mainland

Starting from tomorrow (Friday), people entering Macau from the Mainland through land and sea checkpoints must hold a certificate of negative Covid test result within 48 hours, according to the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre.

Guangdong’s Zhongshan city has reported today (Thursday) 1 newly confirmed local Covid-19 case in Tanzhou district, an area connecting Zhongshan and Zhuhai.

Zhuhai has announced today a ban on all transportation services to Zhongshan and closed the roads to Zhongshan.

Meanwhile, the  Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announced that from 12 pm today, all individuals who have recently been to Zhongshan City’s Tanzhou Town, must undergo a 14-day self-health management period, during which they must take five nucleus acid tests on the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th and 12th days.
