All Typhoon signals cancelled

The Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) has lowered all stand-by signals at 1pm as Typhoon “Nuri” (2002) has made landfall in the west coat of Guangdong province.

As of 1pm, the tropical storm was estimated to be about 210 kilometres west of Macau and it’s forecast to move further inland at around 22kilometres per hour.

SMG forecasts that the local weather will remain cloudy apart from sunny intervals and a few thundery showers. The Bureau says Macau will experience Force 4 to 5 south to southeasterly winds, occasionally force 6 with gusts.
